Cabin Project
The Cree Trappers’ Association is committed to providing cabins to its members who meet strict criteria. These cabins are used by Crees for hunting, trapping and fishing. This program is of the utmost importance as it directly contributes to strengthening Cree culture and way of life. The CTA has an ambitious goal of building 100 cabins in the years to come if funding is available.
The Cabin Project is directly in line with the agreements in place to ensure that the traditional activities of the Eeyou/Eenou continue to be exercised without binding restrictions. It is clear that the Crees will remain, as they have always been, active land users.
